When is the best time to change property managers?
- Posted By Nikki Montaser
A well managed tenancy is more likely to be renewed, therefore if your current property manager is not exceeding your expectations, now is the time to change.
Most property owners believe the time to change is when their tenants move out. This could not be farther from the truth.
It’s important for your manager to have built up relationships with both your exiting and incoming tenants. More often than not, a good relationship between tenant and property manager can solve most problems before they arise.
Changing managers can seem like a hassle but in fact it’s very simple. All you need to do is discuss with us the date that we will manage your property from, and then phone, email or write to your current property manager and give them notice that you are moving your business. The notice period is usually 30 days but varies between agencies; it can be found on your management agreement or by phoning your current property manager.
We take care of everything else for you! It’s that simple!
